All Norwegian value chain

Our value chain is solely based on shrimps caught in regulated waters in the North-East Atlantic Ocean (FAO 027), where the shrimp stocks are both sustainable and viable. The shrimps are peeled in fully automatic peeling plants in the same region as our factory.

All companies involved in our value chain are approved by the Norwegian food and safety authority, which makes our chitosan products both sustainable, safe, and unique.

The utilized shells are a by-product from the local and fully automatic shrimp peeling factories and kept as food grade in the entire value chain. This ensures complete utilization of the shrimp biomass, which is both ethical and sustainable.

Our value chain is highly concerned to quality with several certifications, such as ISO 9001:2015 (Chitosan), NFSA (all), Halal (Shrimp shells), MSC (Shrimps) and more.
